Scenario is: I am an IBMer and Lotus Notes Developer and I am a Home Office worker. I use to have the Lotus Notes Client and Lotus Sametime Client both working together. Therefore, as the IBM security standards require, when I stop using the Notes Client for about 30 minutes, there is an automatic logout and the Sametime status changes automatically for to be "Away".
The issue is that many times I am not away... I only stopped working with Lotus Notes and I am reading a book, or working in a desktop sheet, or on an image resource, or navigating the internet.
But my Clients think I am not available!
My suggestion is Lotus Notes having a "bip" occurring about 30 seconds before the logout occurs... so that the user would be warned that Notes would cause the Sametime status change. And then the user would be able to refresh Notes to avoid the logout screen.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Best regards
Paulo Sergio
